Happy faces as we fly back to Juneau from our adventure kayaking in Glacier Bay.

Our blessed place of rest & our first night out of the tent since arriving in Alaska 8 days earlier - The Crondahl's B&B.

bathrobe, a shower, and a serenade by Judy on the euphonium! Heaven!

Judy and Jay provide us with another fantastic breakfast!

Here's where the bed & BREAKFAST really gets good!

Our lovely bed at the Crondahl's bed & breakfast with Jay Crondahl's artwork.

The Crondahl's home is an art-covered extravaganza.

Juneau from the Crondahl's backyard.

The streets in Juneau become steps when the hills get too steep. These stairs are still named 5th street! A black bear walked here the next day.

Topher on the trail above Juneau. From the city, we hiked directly from our B&B for three hours to this point.

Juneau's wildflowers in June.

Many wildflowers are seen above tree-line nestled amidst the snows fields above Juneau.

Lovely tiny wildflowers.

A marmot wrestling match for two young marmots.

The same marmots break up their wrestling to check out the humans.

Topher stands above the Gastineau Channel, the Southeast entrance to Juneau's port.

Float planes... a.k.a.- "puddle jumpers" are the fastest transport in SE Alaska. Juneau is the only US state capital that can't be approached by road.

Topher holds a salmon egg at the Juneau fish hatchery. 25% of all salmon caught in Alaska are hatchery-born fish, but 100% of are wild (not farmed!).

Veronika's attempts at catching a king salmon! (we went out for dinner later...)

Veronika on board the ferry. In the distance is the Mendenhall glacier as we leave Juneau for Haines.

Warmth and fresh air together on the ferry to Haines.
