Oliver Schilke is a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Research in the Social Sciences (IRiSS) at Stanford University. Currently, he collaborates with Karen Cook, Ray Lyman Wilbur Professor of Sociology, on topics of organizational trustworthiness and interfirm alliances.
Prior to Stanford, Oliver received his doctorate degree in business administration from Witten Herdecke University (Germany). His dissertation draws from the resource-based view of the firm and deals with the concept of alliance capability.
Oliver Schilke received an undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Siegen (Germany) in 2001 and a Master of Science in Management from HHL – Leipzig Graduate School of Management (Germany) in 2003. He has gained business experience at firms such as DaimlerChrysler, ABB, Sal. Oppenheim, and KPMG.
Dr. Schilke is member of the Academy of Management, the Academy of International Business, and the Academy of Marketing Science. His research has been published in refereed journals such as Long Range Planning (LRP) and Die Betriebswirtschaft (DBW). He has also contributed to peer-reviewed conferences such as the Academy of Management Meeting, the Academy of International Business Meeting, and the Academy of Marketing Science Conference.
