Welcome to my website at Stanford
University.
A few words about myself...

Hello, I am Sou-Cheng and I have recently graduated with a Ph.D. from the Scientific Computing and Computational Mathematics (SCCM) program, which has evolved into the Institute for Computational and Mathematical Engineering (ICME) in the School of Engineering. My advisor is Prof Michael Saunders and co-advisor is Prof Gene Golub. Upon graduation, I have joined Oracle Corporation's Server Technology group/Buinsess Intelligence division.
I am orginally from Hong Kong. Terrya is my English name given by my dad back in high school---perhaps a spelling mistake of "Teresa" or "Terrier"... A recent web search reveals that it could have been dervied from "Terra", which means "Earth", or "Tera", which is often used as a prefix to mean one trillion, i.e., 1012.
For leisure, I enjoy biking and hiking, cooking and jogging, reading and gardening.
