Brush Clearing and Mapping

We finally finished clearing all the brush in Zone 1 to reveal the architectural remains of the section house and its bathhouse. Take a look at our work in these photos.

We have been creating maps using our total station of the architectural features which I hope to post up on this website in the near future.

Next week we'll be getting into the dirt, but for now we have a basemap to work from on which we'll record the location of other features and artifacts we find below ground.
