GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF FICTION:
The Sand Hill Review welcomes unsolicited submissions of fiction. We seek work of the highest literary quality, but otherwise do not have any specific guidelines for style or subject matter. We do not accept nonfiction, personal essays or memoirs. Novel excerpts are acceptable if self-contained.
HOW TO SUBMIT A MANUSCRIPT:
Length of fiction should be 5000 words or less. Exceptions are possible.•

Submissions by snail mail only. Please do not use certified or registered mail.PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT ACCEPT MANUSCRIPTS SUBMITTED BY E-MAIL.

Include your email address in your submission information for a quick reply.•
A self-addressed stamped envelope is required for return of material. We cannot be responsible for delay, loss, or damage.•
Please print all manuscripts, double-spaced with margins flush left. Photocopies are acceptable.•

Manuscripts are accepted between October 1 and March 1 for the 2008 issue. This issue is released in June, 2008. Response time for unsolicited manuscripts ranges from two weeks to two months.
RESTRICTIONS: Send only one manuscript at a time. There is a limit of two total submissions per writer per reading period. Do not send a second submission until you have heard about the first. We do not reprint previously published work.
EDITING PROCESS:
Writers whose work has been accepted for the 2008 edition of The Sand Hill Review will be
required to re-send submissions, without further editing of accepted work, in the body copy of an email by March 7, 2008. Writers will be consulted on all significant editing done on their articles, and will have the opportunity to proofread galleys for typographical errors.
Payment is in the form of copies of the Review.
