About
me
was born in
Kavala, a town in Northern Greece, in 1981. I lived there untill I
finished highschool in 1999.
Then, I moved to Athens to study electrical
and computer engineering
in the National Technical
University of Athens untill 2004. My life was quite good at
that
period, and particularly during the last year, when I had few classes,
and the chance to travel and take many
photos. Also, my last
summer in Athens was amazing, as our national
soccer team won the european
championship. Also, I had the chance to attend several events
during the Athens
2004 Olympic Games.
owever, I had to
leave Athens, as science needed my services. So, I am now a graduate
student in Physics
at
Stanford University.
It is interesting that this happened in 2005,
the world year of
Physics. You may want to find out about my research.
here are several
things I like besides physics. First of all, music. Favourite bands
include greek ones, like
Trypes
(Holes), Diafana
Krina
(Transparent Lilies), Closer, Earthbound, Raining Pleasure,
Film,
as well as foreign ones, like Nick Cave
and the Bad Seeds, Tindersticks and Madrugada. However, my most
favourite bands are older ones. I speak about
Pink Floyd and The Doors. Of course, I am generally willing to hear any
kind of music. I used to play the piano while I lived in Greece,
however here there is little free time, and I am happy just scratching
my guittar.
also like
sports, and particularly soccer, which is the most popular sport in
Greece. I also like running
and swimming in the sea, during the summer. I hope I'll have the chance
to return to Greece every summer and have
fun in its beautiful beaches. You will find some pictures of them in
the photos section.
If you think you have not found here what you were looking for, you can return back home.
