Scuba
Diving
I became a certified PADI Advanced Open Water Diver at
19 but I've been diving much longer, when I turned 5 years old my uncle
gave me a tiny scuba tank and taught me the basics. While I lived in Puerto
Aventuras (1999) in the Mexican Caribbean I never missed the opportunity
to perform at least 3 immersions each week, thanks to my good friends
at Bahia Divers.
I'm particularly fond of night and cavern diving and I'm looking forward
to becoming a Cave Diver soon. |

Photography
I had already explored sound so I taught myself
photography. I enjoy the process of taking pictures much more than
looking at them. Not so long ago I even made my little darkroom
and processed the entire material from beginning to end. Unfortunately
most of my material is in print so I don't have much to show here
(unless I find someone patient enough to sit behind a scanner for
hours). However, I recently shifted to digital and you can take
a peek at whatever I shot recently here. |
Music
I was part of an experimental
band all throughout high school and midway through collage.
I played the drums and handled synthesizer/sequence
programming. We were rather popular (underground) and played almost
every single joint in Mexico City as well as some mayor forums.
We even had a couple of international TV appearances. It was a
very fun hobby but you know what they say about artistic differences...
Although I haven't played anything in a few years I still love
to plug in the headphones and turn off the lights.

Is there
anybody out there?
At
the end of every night, one
of my little pleasures comes from checking how much did
I (and my computer) contributed to this magnificent distributed
computing endeavor. Click the link bellow if you believe
that we are not alone and are interested in contributing
to a scientific and objective Search for Extraterrestrial
Intelligence, from the comfort of your home or office.

The Master
in the Art of Life...
A
true master in the art of life does not have clear distinction
between his work and his play, his work and leisure, his mind
and body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion.
He barely distinguishes between one or the other. He simple perceives
his vision of excellence in everything he does, letting other
to decide whether he is playing or working. In his own eyes, he
is always doing both.
