process

         Buy-in critical from neighborhood

Recommend a couple plans from committee to entire neighborhood

Turn restrictions, humps, etc. would require council approval

We need to use what we learned from Downtown North and Evergreen traffic calming
projects

Trial could accept 50% + 1 of responders, but threshold for approval still to be
determined

Final should accept 50% + 1 of all residents and property owners but threshold for
approval still to be determined

Permanent measures must be approved by council

Important that everyone understand that they may not like everything about the Plan

project outcomes & objectives

Performance Measures

1.              Deter cut through traffic

2.              Reduce excessive traffic speeds

3.              Improve civil driving

4.              Improve effectiveness of existing closures

5.              Improve aesthetics of existing traffic calming measures

6.              Improve traffic safety by reducing accidents

7.              Improve the safety and experience for pedestrians and bicycles

Constraints

1.   Minimize traffic shift onto other residential streets

Outcome

1.              Approved plan for trial installation

2.              Successful trial

3.              Approved plan for implementation

4.              Successful implementation of plan

action items

City to provide fire response map for neighborhood station (FD likes speed tables, not
speed humps)

City to provide trash service map and details for neighborhood

         City to provide "Channing" presentation

City to provide crash data from Police Department

City to prepare a purpose and need statement

City to whether there are any Public Works projects planned for the neighborhood that
should be coordinated with the traffic calming project

         Kimley-Horn to prepare meeting notes
