[New!] Currently working on ViewXtreme (a novel way to watch high resolution videos)

I am a graduate student at the department of Electrical Engineering, Stanford University. I work with Prof. Bernd Girod in the Image, Video and Multimedia Systems (IVMS) group. My current research focus is on Interactive Video Streaming with Virtual Pan/Tilt/Zoom and Free-view point TV.

Earlier, I completed the Master of Technology (M.Tech) and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) program at the department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur in 2008. I worked with Prof. R. K. Ghosh on my master's thesis titled "MTorrent: A Multicast Enabled BitTorrent Protocol", which was awarded the Cadence Gold Medal for the Best Master's thesis across all engineering departments at IIT Kanpur. I also collaborated with Prof. Sajal K. Das of University of Texas, Arlington and worked on sensor networks.

In summer of 2007, I interned at Microsoft Research, Bangalore and worked with Dr. Venkata N. Padmanabhan on "SixthSense: RFID based enterprise intelligence".

Earlier, in 2006, I interned at the Deutsche Telekom Laboratories, Berlin, Germany. I worked with Dr. Jatinder Pal Singh and Dr. Tansu Alpcan on the problem of Flow Assignment for Heterogeneous Network Access.

In 2005, I interned at Yahoo!, Bangalore and worked on clustering algorithms for similarily structured webpages for information extraction.
