My Favorite YouTube Videos

I think that YouTube is one of the best things on the Internet right now, both for pure entertainment and also for education. Here are some of my favorite videos:

George Washington

This is the funniest original YouTube video I've seen so far:

Nintendo Wii Commercial

I really like how this commercial captures the essence of the Wii as a gaming console for all different types of people, not just your typical young gamers. It's brilliantly done and actually feels inspirational. Nintendo deserves all of its accolades for the Wii being such a wildly successful product.

Steven Seagal parodies on Mad TV

The greatest thing about these parodies is how much they actually resemble how Steven Seagal acts in his real movies.

Steven Seagal's Letterbox 2000

Steven Seagal's America

Abercrombie and Fitch parody compilation on Mad TV

TED Talks

Many of these 20-minute talks by researchers, entrepreneurs, and innovators are really enlightening. They're just the right length to convey some detail but not too long so that you don't get bored by them. Here are some of my favorites:

Hans Rosling: No more boring data: TEDTalks

Frans Lanting: A lyrical view of life on Earth

Barry Schwartz: The Paradox of Choice

Steven Pinker: A brief history of violence

Hulk Hogan Tribute

As my friends pointed out, the most amusing thing about this tribute video is that the song ends at around 3:01 and then starts AGAIN, but then the video just ends abruptly in mid-song while showing one of his fights without any conclusion whatsoever.

Arnold Schwarzenegger from Pumping Iron

Awesome, awesome, awesome!

Matrix Ping Pong

Gotta love Japanese ingenuity!

Human Tetris - Japanese Game Show

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Dani California

This is the most creative and well-executed rock music video that I've seen lately.

Britney Spears and 'N Sync Live at the 1999 MTV VMAs

Britney and 'N Sync on their rise to pop superstardom:

'N Sync Live at the 2000 MTV VMAs

My all-time favorite boy band in their prime. The performance of Bye Bye Bye starting at 1:15 is phenomenally innovative, and Joey Fatone calling timeout at 3:33 is hilarious!

Michael Jackson live performance videos

Michael Jackson is hands-down one of the greatest live performers of all time. Check out these videos to see why:

Billie Jean

I like this one because I don't think he's lip syncing; the vocals obviously aren't as crisp, but it feels more raw and natural.

Milli Vanilli - Girl You Know It's True

Perhaps the most cheesy music video EVER, with the hottest freestyle dance moves and even a JUMPING CHEST BUMP at 0:26! Remember that they had their Grammy revoked when people discovered that they didn't actually sing this song.
