Research News of Kitanidis Laboratory

·        In June 2014, Peter was awarded a Certificate of Excellence in reviewing from Advances in Water Resources for 2013.

·        In February 2014, we completed the first phase of analysis of a large hydraulic tomography dataset.  We obtained high resolution 3-D images of hydraulic parameters and also fine-tuned our inversion algorithms for increased speed and accuracy.

·        In December 2013, we presented several papers at the AGU Fall Annual Meeting.  Tania’ poster received an Outstanding Student Paper Award.  Arvind’s recent paper in WRR was recognized at the Hydrology Section Luncheon.

·        In September 2013, we completed the data collection phase of transient hydraulic tomography at an active industrial site.

·        In July 2013, we completed the data collection phase of oscillatory hydraulic tomography, at the BHRS at Boise, Idaho.

·        In February 13, at the SIAM Conference on Computational Science and Engineering, in Boston, Tania and Arvind’ s poster received Second Place for Best Student Poster.

·        December 2012, several presentation at AGU Fall Annual Meeting.  David’s presentation received an Outstanding Student Paper Award.
