Philippe Baumard is Visiting Professor of Strategic Management and Innovation at Stanford University Dept. of Aeronautics and Astronautics. A Research Associate with Ecole Polytechnique's Center for Management Research (Crg), in Paris, his work focuses on the transformation of R&D organizations and thrust acceleration of innovation processes. At Stanford, Philippe is leading a collaborative research effort to analayze and anticipate the behavioral patterns of adoption of geo-secured and geo-localized global information infrastructures, in a collaboration between Stanford GPS Lab, the CRG of Ecole Polytechnique and University Paul Cezanne. Philippe is also currently involved with other global research initiatives at UC Berkeley's Center for Catastrophic Risk Management, where he studies failures of learning in large-scale anthropocentric and natural disasters.
