HTTP Design Exercise: Presentations and Discussion
We will use this class to present and discuss your designs for an
Http
class and related classes
that simplify the development of HTTP servers. Here is a quick summary
of how the discussion will be organized:
- Each team will have 10-12 minutes to present their design. There
will be time for a few minutes of discussion after each presentation,
and we should have 15-20 minutes for extended discussion after
all of the presentations.
- Please come prepared with slides for your presentation. Be
concrete and specific: for example, show the particular APIs that
you chose.
- It would also be good to discuss alternative approaches that you
considered, as well as pros and cons of the approach you selected.
- If there isn't enough time to discuss both interface and implementation
issues, it would be better to focus on the interfaces.
The presentations will be in the following order (my recollection of the
teams is a bit fuzzy, so apologies if I put you in the wrong team;
we'll the do the presentations in order of the first person
in each list below):
- Bohn, Kincaid, Rachleff, Xu, Zeng
- Dauterman, Dumovic, Haas?, Jin, Troccoli
- Mai, Go?, Mostowy, Vazquez-Guzman
- Bhattasali, Kaplan-Nelson, Poore, Xing
