I am currently a postdoctoral researcher with Information Systems Laboratory, Stanford University, Stanford, CA, working in the Image, Video and Multimedia Systems group led by Prof. Bernd Girod.

I received my Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles, CA, in 2008. My Ph.D. research addresses the issues of applying distributed source coding (DSC) for image and video applications, and the research was supported in part by NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. My Ph.D. thesis advisor is Prof. Antonio Ortega.

I was a research engineer with Texas Instruments R&D Center, Tsukuba, Japan, a research intern with Nokia Research Center, Irving, TX, and IBM T. J. Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights, NY, a research contractor with HP Labs Japan, and a research associate with Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).
