aug 2008-oct 2010: research associate in the department of mechanical engineering at stanford university working with prof. heinz pitsch. until july 2008, i was a post-doctoral fellow at the center for turbulence research, stanford university.
i pursued my doctoral studies in the multiphase flow computations group, department of mechanical engineering at iowa state university (isu), ames, ia under the guidance of prof. s. subramaniam. i graduated with a ph.d. in mechanical engineering in august 2007, after which i worked as a post-doctoral scholar in the same group until september 2007.
i also had a stint of around 4 years in the engineering consulting services sector and around a year in the automotive sector before beginning my doctoral studies at isu.
in addition to a ph.d., i hold a bachelors of engineering from manipal institute of technology (mit), india.
