The band process23 formed in the spring of 2002, when Canadian songwriting team Matt Jobin and Tina Noyes joined up with local San Francisco musicians. Previously, Tina and Matt were the main members of the Canadian band named io.

Matt's full and jangling guitar style is complemented by Tina's melodic bass lines which touch on harmonics and provide an almost subconsciously perceived background. The band's sounds has been influenced by bands such as the Jesus and Mary Chain, Stone Roses, Spiritualized, Radiohead, and Godspeed You Black Emperor. The songwriting duo produces poetic lyrics and stirring melodies.

Aaron Caplan has recently joined process23 on drums, and brings a tribal influenced rhythm style to the songs.

process23 has just released their debut album PREMONITIONS.
