Purpose of this Website
Summary
Cardinal Money Management is designed to help Stanford students, the college population, and anybody else learn how to manage their money more effectively. This includes altering their spending and saving patterns, investing wisely, and learning how to access various resources in order to improve their finances. The three main categories of information are "Personal Money Management," "Investing in the Stock Market," and "Advice on Stocks and Bonds." In time, the site can grow to be a major site to visit for those interested in these matters.
Goals
The goal of Cardinal Money Management is to become a valuable resource for people seeking to imrove their financial situation. First and foremost, it is intended to help citizens, which will eventually benefit the population as a whole because of these changed individuals. For example, the United States has one of the lowest savings rates in the world, and by improving that we could vitalize the economy of the United States and decrease interest rates. However, advertising revenue will be obtained from the website in order to pay for costs.
People I Hope to Help
The location of my site is at Stanford University where I am working on it. However, my website is global in the sense that a person anywhere in the world can quickly and readily access it. As a result, I have a very large potential audience to market my content. I believe that most of my market will come from college students and younger people in their mid to late-20s. They are just starting to have to manage their own money, and they are more likely to need advice than middle-aged and older peole. However, I also plan to aggressively target the older markets, since people who are not internet- savvy may not understand how to do online banking or investing.
Informational Services
My services will consist of valuable information and advice on how to manage one's personal finances better. I think that people will find them very useful in their lifestyles, and that at one point they would even be willing to pay money for them. However, my goal is to spread my knowledge to many people in order to help them, and as a result I will not charge a fee. Instead, there will eventually be unobstrusive ads to offset my costs.
