Many other sites on the internet charge for similar information about investing on the stock market or managing personal finances efficiently. For example, in order to get a subscription to MorningStar, a premium investing guide, one has to pay either a monthly or annual subscription fee. In addition, supposedly free sites like Yahoo! Finance actually charge for restricted information beyond the basic content that they are publishing for everybody to view freely. This presents a big barrier to many people who are trying to improve their financial situation, and I want to make sure that everyone has an equal opportunity to see this information.

 

Easy Navigation

Sometimes sites that are enormous can turn out to be difficult to navigate. Because there is so much information, certain articles and pages that are relevant may not be linked to each other. In addition, there can be a great deal of overlap between pages, resulting in redundancy and a waste of the reader's time. To remedy this problem, I want to make the website as easy to navigate as possible. Because my website will initially be very small compared to the biggest players in the industry, I will not have the problem of organizing a massive amount of content. However, as my website continues to grow, I will be extremely careful to maintain the organization so that readers will come back to find the information easily. This can be done through a well-thought out hierarchical structure, tables of links, a site map, and various other tools to ensure that the reader never loses his or her way while navigating through my site.
