One can take a funicular from the town of Lugano, Switzerland, up to the top of an adjacent hill. If one does, one gets this view. (Though the weather was sadly not the greatest the day we were there, misty and drizzling. I imagine it would be lovelier in sunny weather.) This is very near the Italian border, and it feels more like Italy than like other parts of Switzerland.
