Built in 1345, the shops built on it used to have butchers, tanners and fishmongers. In 1563, Ferdinando I evicted them in favor of jewelers and goldsmiths (which were less offensive to his nose), and they've been there ever since. Now, it's lined with glittering jewelery shops for tourists.
