Most photographers to Canyonlands go to Mesa Arch at sunrise and take a photo looking through the arch from just next to it. I don't follow the herd, though (usually), so I went near sunset instead (besides, I didn't have to wake up so early in the morning) and got this photo from some distance away. This was late December, so there were bits of snow on the ground.
