A hiking trail leaves from downtown Juneau that heads up one of the mountain ridges behind town (or you can slightly cheat and take an aerial tramway partway up). We made it to the top of Gastineau Peak, where one sees this view of more distant mountains (on a clear day, anyway, which we were mostly lucky enough to get).
