A typical Lofoten Island landscape. This one reminds me of traditional artists' conceptions of the Palaeozoic Era ("The Primeval World") with craggy mountains, shallow seas, dramatic weather, and little in the way of animals or large plants. (We were there in the autumn, hence the plants in fall color...)
