A view of the village of El Chalten, at the start of many of the hiking trails in the Fitz Roy region, from a hill above it. It's a strange frontier-feeling place. Most of the roads are dirt, and they are just starting to pave some of them. This village exists only to serve the hikers, climbers and tourists that show up in the Fitz Roy area for the mountains.
