The Patagonian Pampa
Somewhere in Patagonia, along the road between Torres del Paine (Chile) and Los Glaciares (Argentina). I don't remember where. A lot of the Patagonia plain, once you get away from the mountain ridge, looks something like this. The wind often produces interesting clouds. The tiny off-white dots on the ground in the distance are sheep; sheep are about all one can do useful with the arid, desolate, windy land around here. Away from the mountains (with their hikers and tourists), Patagonia has a whole lot of nothing.
