Patagonia #35

The Devastated Forest of Doom

At least that's what we dubbed it while hiking through it. In the northern section of Los Glaciares National Park (Argentina), along the Rio Electrico (great name), the trail passes through a forest where many of the twisted trees look heavily damaged by something (high winds, maybe? this is Patagonia, infamous for being excessively windy) and the ground was littered with fallen branches and tree debris. It was quite a creepy-feeling forest. We really didn't want to run into whatever had done a number on the trees... (This photo was taken in infrared.)
