A Very Snowy Lake Agnes, Banff National Park
Lake Agnes is a pleasant hike up a mountain from the bigger and more famous Lake Louise, and has a wonderful little tea house at the edge of the lake. In very early June, it was surprisingly still very cold and snowy up there (we were up to our knees in snow in places on the trail getting there), so the tea house's steaming hot pea soup tasted great. I imagine it's much more crowded when summer finally arrives, but at this time of year it was arctic-feeling.
