On the trail to Twin Lakes, in Desolation Wilderness near Lake Tahoe (California). The snow got too deep at the higher elevations, covering the trail (which we eventually couldn't find anymore), so we never quite made it to the lakes. Still, pleasant Sierras mountain landscapes, and noone else around in mid-June. (We seem to often try mountain hiking in mid-June, and more often than not run into too much snow. You'd think we'd learn...)
