After an animated title sequence, the main menu offers three options. Button one takes you to an introductory video about the arts at Stanford. Button two lets you browse the organizations listed in the Guide. Button three takes you directly to the Student Arts Website.
The introductory video is roughly 9 minutes, featuring students and staff talking about ways to get involved in the arts at Stanford.
You are first given three categories to choose from when browsing the Guide.
In the student groups section, over 90 groups are divided into six categories.
The browsing pane allows you to watch each group's video, read a short paragraph about each group, and travel to their website via hyperlink.
Videos may also be viewed full-screen.

Arts Guide

Concept, Design, Content: Megan Miller
Flash Programming: Kingsley Willis

The Arts Guide is a multi-media introduction to all arts-related organizations at Stanford University, both academic and extra-curricular. The Guide is released annually the first week of april and is mailed to all prospective freshmen shortly after they receive their acceptance letter.

The Guide is programmed in Flash, and 5,500 copies are burned to disc for distribution. Each year, organizations have a chance to update their information in the Guide. The first Guide was created in 2006. The interface design has transformed over the last three versions of the Guide to match the new Student Arts Website.
