Jan 31 2008 - The old lady's b-day, Yosemite
Polly's long-harbored desire to ski out to glacier point could no longer be denied, as it was her birthday. The 2pm Badger Pass start put us out at road's end with enough time to realize that we would be getting back in the dark. Turns out when you're tired, you're going uphill, and it's dark, skate skis are quite easy to carry in your hands.
Sat night at D & W's prime new Foresta vacation getaway.
Sunday: Polly to Ahwahnee to work on a grant, I third-wheeled with W and D at the Cookie, which was the most crowded any of us had ever seen it. Did Anathema to Jardine's Hand, the latter of which Wyatt led with aplomb. Careful of slung pillar on P2 - it definitely moves, and would definitely kill you if it fell. Dustin almost onsighted crack-a-go-go, with only one brief hang and minimal mewling.
