March 17th-18th 2007 - Turtle Rock + Cosumnes River Gorge

Plan was for the Valley, but Polly woke up on Saturday with mammoth stomach pain, so we stuck closer to home. A little bouldering with Wyatt at Turtle Rock in Tiburon on Saturday (his pre-pubescent stomping grounds), and a nice day trip to Cosumnes River Gorge outside Placerville with crew on Sunday.

Wyatt at Turtle Rock:

Cosumnes is a nice spot to spend the day. Mostly mellow climbing, with a nice 3 pitch .10d/5.9 route across the river that Ben and I did. Also a really cool but short 5.12 finger crack that I managed to free 7 feet of before aiding. It properly humbled both Abeles and I on TR. Lots of nice 5.8 and 5.9 around, nice swimming hole, everything was green.

Ben doing cruising some nice 5.8 at Cosumnes:

Adam "Bear-magnet" Abeles on some 5.9, Shane belays.

Adam and Chelsea:

feet of Caroline?
