July 29th - Donner with Alex, Weave, Nami, Steph, Scott, and Ren. [Alex's pics]
Day trip to Donner with a good crew. Trip included a stop at the world's most inefficient Subway in Truckee, which gave Ren the runs. It was Ren's first day climbing outside, probably ever. Weaver reiterated that he hadn't led anything in the last twelve years. Spent the day at Snowshed. There was no swimming. Pics:

Gang-roped the hard stuff to the left of Bottomless-Topless. Emphasis on hard. Alex, no longer burdened by employment and fresh off a number of weekends at the Needles with Bulgarian hardman Hristo, was SENDING on toprope.
