Bio
Maya Meidan is a PhD candidate in the Department of Economics at Stanford University. Her primary
interests are International Economics and Industrial Organizations.
Her current research examines the impact of vertical structure on the
response to import duties. Specifically, how foreign ownership of
domestic importers affected pass-through of Antidumping duties into
consumer price and post-duty exit. She also conducted research on the
impact of intra-country transportation costs on trade patterns and
responses to trade policies through the creation of regional markets.
Maya has a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Economics and an M.A.
summa
cum laude in Economics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
She was born in Haifa, Israel.
