I am a Ph.D. student in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University. My research is with Prof. Bernd Girod in the area of video streaming with interactive region-of-interest (IRoI).

I successfully completed the M.Sc. program in Electrical Engineering at Alexandria University, Egypt in December 2006. I worked with Prof. Hassan El-Kamchouchi for my Master's thesis. The thesis is entitled "Cellular Radio Network Design Using Particle Swarm Optimization".

In June 2004, I received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, with distinction - degree of honor, from Alexandria University. My undergraduate focus was on signal processing and communications. I was honored by the Egyptian President "Hosni Mubarak" in "Science Day, 2004" for being the top student of Alexandria University.
