Hi, you have reached Jan's place in cyberspace.
I have recently moved to the Netherlands, to start a post doc in the group of Nynke Dekker at the Technical University of Delft.

Here, you will find some information about my research with Sebastian Doniach at Stanford, as well some pictures, links and things I do for fun.

A few words about me: I was born in Frankfurt, Germany, subsequently growing up a little north of that, in Kassel. After serving my country for a year working as a paramedic, I studied physics and economics in Heidelberg , Uppsala and Champaign-Urbana. I have recently finished my PhD in physics at Stanford, where I worked with Sebastian Doniach, Daniel Herschlag, and Vijay Pande on biomolecular simulations and experiments.

Apart from science, I like traveling and sports, well, and actually quite a few other things. By the way, the picture below shows me in Sequoia National Park.
