Current Projects:
I am currently working with Professor Hanrahan on information visualization.
| Network Intrusion Detection | A visualizatio of the confusion matrix of predicting the OS role from all available measurements using a naive bayes classifier We are designing a system to build a model of normal network behavior that allows users to participate in the model refinement process by visualizing the results after each step of refinement. This would allow users to encode their prior domain knowledge, as well as build models that users can understand. |
| Constellation | A force directed layout using the Prefuse visualization toolkit We are building an exploratory graph visualization system based on a database formalism, which allows us to extract graphs from any relational database; perform transformations and other analytical graph operations; and flexibly map the graph visualization to underlying data. |
| Flow Map Visualization | Minards flowmap of Napoleon's forces We are designing a system to explore flows (e.g. network traffic flows) in data by visualizing them as flow maps. We then allow users to analyze the data by creating different layers which may be superimposed over each other; map visual attributes to underlying data; and perform filtering. |
| Round Robin Visualization |
Screen capture We are building a system that allows network administrators to monitor the current (and past) network traffic conditions. Download current version (requires JRE1.42) |
