SIDECAR Firmware Development:
Writing assembly code for the SIDECAR ASIC. This work is being done at Teledyne
Imaging Sensors in Camarillo, CA.
Hybrid CMOS SiPIN Detector:
Characterizing and Testing the Teledyne Scientific H1RG, H2RG and H4RG HyViSI Hybrid
CMOS detector in the laboratory and on the sky.
Cosmic Ray Simulation in LSST Detectors:
Simulating cosmic ray events in the LSST detectors with the GEANT4
software package. The purprose is to identify and characterize the
events in each frame while also trying to understand their origin.
Eventually, the simulations will be compared to data from existing
large aperture telescopes.

Outreach and Additional Activities
|
Science Bus:
I spent three quarters working with the Science Bus at Stanford.
The Science Bus is a group of undergraduate and graduate students
that tutor children at East Palo Alto Charter School in math and
science.
Kids Day at SLAC:
I have taken part in Kids Day at SLAC for the past four years,
bringing telescopes equipped with solar filters borrowed from the
Stanford Astronomical Society for the kids to use.
Stanford Astronomical Society:
I am currently an advisor for the Stanford Astronomical Society.
I help organize events such as astronomical talks, meteor shower
viewings, and celestial event observations for Stanford Students.
I also maintain the group website.
