NIAGARA FALLS

May 2004

We were on a bird watching trip to Point Pelee and the Algonquin Provincial Park in Canada with Field Guides, but we arrived a few days early and drove down to Niagara Falls. Afterwards, we joined our bird trip. A picture of our birding group is near the end.

The dandelion field reminded me of one of my earliest memories as a child, so I took the picture.

We had a great bird trip in Canada, and afterwards, we rented a car and drove to Grayling, MI to see the Kirtland's Warbler, a threatened species. It winters in the Bahamas, but nests in Michigan in one little area on a specific type of pine tree (Jack Pines) that can't be too young or too old.
