Welcome to the webtreehouse of Rachel Kalmar. I am a 4th year graduate student in Krishna Shenoy and Bill Newsome's labs, in the Neurosciences program at Stanford. I graduated from University of California, San Diego with a degree in physics/biophysics in 2002, and worked in E.J. Chichilnisky's retinal physiology lab at the Salk Institute as a research assistant. In between San Diego and the Bay Area, I spent a year or so traveling to Spanish-speaking countries and dancing.
In addition to science, I like building things, traveling, and unicycling.
