A little word about myself

I was born and raised in sunny Northern California, Santa Clara to be exact. I did my undergraduate education at the University of California, Santa Cruz in physics and computer science. After that I came to Stanford University to do graduate studies in Computational and Mathematical Engineering. I am still at Stanford as a postdoctoral scholar in Geophysics.

Research Highlights

The emphasis of my graduate work was on understanding the numerical errors made in numerically solving hyperbolic transport problems, with applications in subsurface porous media flows. My research adviser was Prof. Margot Gerritsen of Energy Resources Engineering. (Thesis)

Currently I am working with Prof. Eric Dunham on developing more efficient methods for simulating earthquake ruptures. Currently our work focusses on higher-order methods and adaptive mesh refinement.
