With Shripad Tuljapurkar, I design and teach an advanced training workshop at Stanford in formal demography and biodemography. The course is funded by grants from the Demographic and Behavioral Sciences Branch of the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. We have taught this course summers and sporadically during the academic year from 2005-present. For each workshop, we select approximately 20 exceptional Ph.D. students, post-doctoral scholars, and junior faculty from social, biological, and health sciences programs around the world to come to Stanford to receive training in the conceptual underpinnings, debates and methods of formal demography and bio-demography.

Here, I post some of my lecture notes from various workshops. More material is posted on the Demography Workshop section of my lab page.
