Dear Interested Divide Rider,
First off, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
This is the first of some? many? regular? occasional? "updates" to let you know what's going on with the planning of the Divide Ride.
Within a week of getting the information out to 41 possible riders, we had 15 people show "serious interest" (as in, "when do we leave?!"). Since we decided quite a while ago to limit the ride to 12 riders, we have 12 plus 3 on the wait-list (which, as we said, was all first come/first serve).
Most of you have email, but for the 3 who do not, I will make a hard copy of whatever I/we send, and make sure you get it in the mail. (Any chance that you might get email? It might be easier for you to keep in the informal loop with other riders.)
By the way, does anyone mind having their email address included here? If so, let me know. Otherwise, the next "DR Update" will include email addresses for everyone interested in the ride. We are going to set up some kind of informal email "chat" so that everyone can talk about the ride. Divide Ride Update #2 will have details.
Seems as if most everyone wants the group food option. (A couple of people didn't say anything one way or the other.)
