It takes a lot of effort to get out of self blame and to detach from a troubling situation. The pain can be excruciating and the temptation
to react very strong. The way synaptic connections in the brain are hardwired and the way these have evolved may primarily determine the demeanor a
person would be inclined to excercise.
As a personal viewpoint, during such times, detachment happens to be a tremendous relieving emotion. Detachment can come only from not reacting; one
could go bash up somebody who one feels is annoying and is not doing things right. However, morality doesn't advocate that and the consequences
thereof are debatable.
Often a times one might want to resolve a strenuous situation with the other party if there is emotional attachment with them. On the other hand there
might be no motivation at all, in which case, one may give up the idea of taking initiatives for resovling stress in a relationship. This
detachment can help counter the urge to pay back to the other party the wrongs they might have done.
