"MAMA siggi (cigarette)" ...........
Mama existed calm, fulfilled, all the time... Mama looked like a big
brother with an attitude, but really wasn't. Mama was respectful.
you can be
respectful when you don't see others as a threat to your
perception of your own self.
Mama seemed to know what was right. Mama wasn't so afraid,
wasn't insecure ...
of showing his insecurities.
Mama would sleep whenever and only whenever
was a
suitable time, would never ask roomies to let him sleep.
In confronting situations,. which
Mama faced ocaasionaly, Mama'd not feel threatened, but'd be just
right in his demeanor to preserve his personal comfort level.
Mama
insisted on keeping the fan on at night, when it'd be snowing
outside; the heating'd make it too hot I guess. Mama's rommie would
complain
of catching cold. I'm sure Mama wouldn't mind keeping the fan off,
should the roomie insist; but the fan remained on night after night.
I wonder what makes some of us so distinguishable; so different from the
crowd; if it seems like I mean to call that superiority, a poor job of
communication is being done here; just that we happen to remember some
people we meet, and we forget others. Self assurance with care for others
when warranted; and a suitable
equilibrium between personal comfort and interpersonal care and attention,
and confidence in the same, makes people charismatic. Genuinely
complimenting others without loosing self esteem, goes a long way in
associating with people.
Mama wasn't really charismatic........ he could be though, I think.
I admire tough south Indian guys, just like Mama;
