Stanford University's Department of
Strength & Conditioning is currently accepting applications
for full-time intern positions for the 2008 Winter/Spring Quarters.
Successful candidates will assist with the implementation of sport-specific,
Olympic-based strength training programs for all sports. Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to; assisting the strength and conditioning
coaches with the design and implementation of sport-specific strength,
speed, agility and quickness programs. Additional responsibilities
include weight room supervision, daily upkeep and maintenance of
equipment, and any other duties as assigned by the strength and
conditioning coach. Successful candidates can expect to work full
time for the duration of the internship and must be available on
weekends.
Internship Dates
Fall -- Sept 2007- Dec 2007
Winter/ Spring--Jan 7- June 6, 2008
Qualifications
A strong desire to pursue a career in the strength and conditioning field is required.
Applicants must be working towards completion of a degree and require an internship to fulfill
graduation requirements.
Interns may not take classes or work any jobs outside of Stanford Strength & Conditioning
Department.
