Dear Colleague:

The preliminary program for the 1998 NSF/NBER Decentralization Conference is enclosed below, along with a conference registration form. The Conference will be held at the University of Minnesota, April 17-19. If you are interested in attending, please return the registration form as soon as possible. The Conference activities will include an informal reception following the talks on Friday and a dinner Saturday evening.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Holiday Inn Metrodome in Minneapolis, located a few blocks from the Conference site, at a rate of $91.00 per night. Please make reservations by calling the hotel directly at 800-448-3663 during business hours or the general Holiday Inn number, 800-465-4329. You must call before March 26 and tell them you are with the U of M Economics Department.
