As a condensed
matter theorist, I am mainly interested in identifying, characterizing, and
classifying new states of matter. My research is currently focused on quantum
systems where strong correlation effect or topological character plays an
important role in understanding their low energy and long wave-length
physics. These kinds of quantum systems include quantum spin liquids, high
temperature superconductors, quantum Hall systems, topological insulators
and superconductors.
In August of 2012, I moved
to the Institute for
Advanced Study at Tsinghua University in Beijing as a faculty member. Since December of 2017, I have been a
Professor of Institute for Advanced Study at Tsinghua University. Here is my website
