ResearchI am a Ph.D. student in the Electrical Engineering Department at Stanford University. My advisor is Prof. Jim Plummer. I work in the Center for Integrated Systems and the Stanford Nanofabrication Facility, and my research interest is in the general area of novel semiconductor devices. I am currently researching band-to-band tunneling (BTBT) as a transport mechanism for low power devices. As opposed to drift/diffusion carrier transport mechanism in conventional MOSFETs, tunneling has no first order temperature dependence, and therefore offers the possiblity of steeper than kT/q subthreshold slopes. My undergraduate research was on coupled dopant diffusion. The research was conducted under the advisement of Prof. Jim Plummer, Dr Peter Griffin and Dr Ant Ural (now professor at University of Florida). AcademicI completed a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University in June 2001. Since Fall 2003, I have been working on a PhD in Electrical Engineering. A list of classes that I have taken at Stanford can be found here. ResumeMy resume is available upon request. Pictures
