Directions for accessing A312 Courseinfo website
1)
Go to http://courseinfo.stanford.edu
2)
Click on the top item A312 Financial Statement Analysis
3)
A Username and password box will come up.
4)
Put in your first initial and last name as username (all one word) i.e., mine
would be asheldon
5)
Your password is your i.d. number (you can change this later)
6)
If you can’t access the website, email me (asheldon@leland.stanford.edu)
with your name and id number and I will add you to the roster right away, and
email you back.
7)
Once you get into the site, you can click on Student Tools and Change
Your Information where you can change how you are listed, your email address if
it is wrong and your password.
To take quiz, click on it (in either
Announcements or Assignments) and answer questions and click Submit Answers.
Dear Prof. McNichols,
I have noticed in case excel file worksheet HD3 that it includes The Home
Depot's Summary of Financial Performance, but the heading says that it is
the Summary of Financial Performance of Hechinger Company.
Secondly, in homework questions you are asking for the Dupont Model ratios,
I might have missed it in readings, if it is so I apologize for asking it.
However, I would be pleased if you could refer me to a source where I can
find information about these ratios. I have already done the ratio analysis
that is asked in Problems 5 and onwards.

Thanks for your email. I will have HD3 corrected...my assistant picked
up
the header from the header over exhibit 3 (HD1 and HD2). Regarding the
Dupont model, it
does the decomposition of return on equity into profit margin, asset turnover
and
leverage, as you computed in questions 5-9 so you are all set.
