I am therefore I think

I am a graduate student at Stanford University pursing a PhD in Applied Physics.

I work at the Kavli Institute of Particle Astrophysics and Cosmology (KIPAC), at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC), where I study Computational Astrophysics. My advisor is Tom Abel.  I run simulation of magnetic fields in astrophysical processes using the ENZO code, specifically on magnetogenesis during galaxy formation as well as magnetorotational instabilities in accretion disks and supernovae.

I am active in the Stanford Graduate Student Council (GSC).  I was the Natural Science Representative from Spring 2007 to 2009 and have been GSC Programming Coordinator, GSC Communication Officer, and the Chair of the GSC Legislative Action Committee in that time.  I am also a member of the Graduate Student Programming Board (GSPB), and a member of the Stanford Film Society (SFS). I also am a Community Associate ('06-present) for Escondido Village.

I am a member of the Board for the Nation Association for Graduate-Professional Students (NAGPS) as the Chair of the Employment Concerns Committee.

I enjoy playing the flute and singing, learning to play the piano and banjo, acrylic painting, watching silly musicals, cooking and eating tasty food, lobbying Congress, and dancing (even I much resemble a jellyfish having a stroke doing so).

I went to MIT as an undergrad, where I was couse 8 and 18C. I lived at EAsT camPUS, on Floor Pi (Third West).  My physics undergraduate thesis was on "Spatial Search by Quantum Walk with a Randomized Local Start State."

I spend much of my day in front of a computer.
